Eventually we were reunited. However, there were other people who had been on the island, including a woman who was bring here kids on a trip. She was at the graveyard (wall visible to right of picture) when she noticed the water. Quickly herding her kids into the car, she floored it. How she didn't stall the car going through the water I'll never know. Vursprung durch technik indeed. She was lucky.
